Multi-platinum yodeler and best-selling poet Jewel Kilcher (the "Kilcher" is silent) will make her television series debut when she guest stars on three episodes of Rob Lowe's legal drama "The Lyon's Den" this fall.

Jewel will play a competitive Department of Justice attorney who must face Lowe's Jack Turner in an important case. Things are complicated by the fact that the attractive youngsters were formerly engaged.

The Alaskan chanteuse made her acting debut opposite Tobey Maguire in Ang Lee's underrated 1999 Civil War epic "Ride with the Devil." It was just announced last week that she'll produce and co-star in the independent drama "Wave."

Since her debut album "Pieces of You" spawned the hit "Who Will Save Your Soul?" and went megaplatinum, Jewel has struggled to retain that same level of popularity. She's appeared on "VH1 Divas Duets," "Jewel TV," "Woodstock '99" and "Lilith Fair: A Celebration of Women in Music." She has also been a musical guest on "Saturday Night Live."

Kilcher's latest album "0304" has yielded airplay for the single "Intuition."

"Lyon's Den," which stars Lowe, Matt Craven, Kyle Chandler, Frances Fisher, James Pickens Jr. and David Krumholtz will air on NBC on Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET. It premieres on Sept. 28 and the episodes with Jewel will appear later this fall.
